The testicle is the sexual organ responsible
for producing testosterone, which is the hormone that defines male
characteristics, and the testicle also produces and stores sperm. Testicle size
is directly related to levels of fertility, testosterone and male
characteristics. In popular culture, people associate dominant behavior,
violent or courageous, with large testicles. Studies conducted in Europe and
Africa indicated that, on average, black men have larger testicles than other
races. The difference in the size of the testicles is verified from birth, and
follows the individual into adulthood.
Methods for Determining the
Size of Testicles
Testicle size can be measured by oval
dimensions or by volume. The most common methods are the use of the orchidometer,
which are predefined and numbered oval size molds that are compared with the
testicle, and by ultrasound, done directly on the testicle.
Average values for the
population:
The normal size of an adult testis is
approximately 3 cm (length) x 2.4 cm (width) or a volume of 12.5 ml-19 ml, with
an average value of 15.75 ml.

Testicle size in the early
ages of life
A study published by the University of Vrije in
Amsterdam looked at testicular development from newborn babies to 6-year-olds.
Among other results, white babies are born with an average testicular volume of
0.25 ml.
A study done at the University of Nigeria,
analyzed 867 Nigerian babies, obtaining values for testicular volume between
1 ml and 3 ml of newborn babies, with an average volume of 1.14 ml. Comparing
the results of the study from Nigeria and Amsterdam, it is concluded that the
testicular volume of Nigerian babies is 4.5 times greater than that of white
(Caucasian) babies of the same age, indicated in the previous study.

Testicle size in young people and adults
The African Journal of Urology publication of a Nigerian study of black youth found that the mean testicle volume of fertile youths ranged from 19.84 ml to 19.69 ml, with an average of 19.76 ml. It is notable that the average value of testicular volume of Nigerians is 25.5% greater than the average value of the USA, which is 15.75 ml.
Another study on the dimensions of the testes in African populations found scrotal circumference values of 21.2 cm ± 0.248 cm, length of 4.68 cm ± 0.054 cm and width of 3.24 ± 0.037 cm. The average measures being 4.7 cm x 3.25 cm. Again, the African population values are well above the mean values of 3 cm long x 2.4 cm wide.

Indications
related to the size of the testicles
An article published in the journal Nature, in 1986, related the size of the testicle with the occurrence of fraternal twins (Dizygotic), where the occurrence in populations of African origin is much higher than in other races. The occurrence of fraternal twins in Asians and Caucasians ranges from 2 to 9 per 1000 births, while in African populations this rate reaches 49 per 1000 births.
Influence of
testicle size on the human body
The testicle is
of great importance in the early stages of life, influencing the development of
male characteristics, penis size, bone muscle mass.
In adulthood,
the size of the testes is proportional to the production of testosterone and
sperm, in addition to being indicators of fertility. Studies indicate that larger
testicles indicate higher fertility rates, while smaller testicles are related
to conditions of low infertility.
Testicle Size and Personality Relationship
Since ancient times, testicle size has been associated with courage, dominance and fertility. It's still common to hear expressions like "this man has big balls" for someone who is extremely brave. In fact, this comparison has a great deal of truth in it; studies carried out with prisoners have shown that high levels of testosterone are directly related to aggressive behavior.
Conclusion
Ethnicity has a
direct relationship to the size/volume of the testicles, being notably larger
in the black race. This difference is reflected in higher testosterone levels
throughout development from newborn to adult. The presence of more testosterone
causes the accentuation of masculine characteristics in the black race, such as
muscle mass, larger penis and dominant behavior.
In youth and
adulthood, the larger size/volume of the testicle in black men provides greater
sperm production and volume, resulting in ejaculations that are much larger
than any other race, in addition to higher quality sperm.
The hypothesis
that black men have greater fertility is reinforced by comparing studies that
relate testicle size to fertility and fertility rates in countries, where
countries with African populations have the highest fertility rate on the
planet.
